No Barriers to The Hill
17³Ô¹ÏÍø admissions are competitive, but we've worked to minimize the unnecessary barriers to entry for all students, and remove bias from the application process. Through our generous financial aid program, we meet 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for all entering students. Moreover, families who make $100,000 or less with reasonable assets will receive a full tuition grant.
Additionally, 17³Ô¹ÏÍø was an early adopter of the test-optional approach, with the College dropping the requirement beginning with the class that entered in the fall of 2006.
One of 17³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s top priorities is to ensure that talented students from all backgrounds can access a 17³Ô¹ÏÍø education and be supported to flourish on our campus and beyond. We believe the test-optional approach achieves this.
Additionally, the policy communicates to students, teachers and parents how 17³Ô¹ÏÍø focuses on the four-year academic program and outside-the-classroom interests in our admission decisions — instead of on a single test score.
